BioHey my name is Angela. Im 19 years old. I come from South Africa
I’ve always loved food since I was a little kid, my parents always gave me a hard time for wearing short skirts because I was a bit chubby. I had an older sister who was ana for many years and she looked amazing! She ‘recovered’ but after a nasty break up she just stopped eating and she lost all the weight. This year has been one of the hardest years of my life, both my sisters moved out the house, had my first ‘serious’ relationship.. and got my heart seriously broken.
3 months ago a guy I really fancied started going out with another girl, since then I’ve been depressed, and I just stopped eating. I thought if I could feel the hunger Im still alive. At first I didn’t eat because I was so heart broken but when I started losing weight I started looking up ‘pro ana’ sites and finding out more about it.
I always thought I was better than skinny girls, I can eat whatever and not care, but in the end I looked like a fat slob, who all the boys laughed at, so I decided enough is enough.. I realized that being pro ana is one of the most important things to me know.. I love myself enough not to let myself turn out to be a big slob.
My dad always puts me down in front of his friends because Im overweight.
Im very new to pro ana I kinda feel out of place and unsure of where I fit it, so I need all the support, advice anyone can give me
I took laxatives last year but then my mother found out and she kept on talking to me about it… one things for sure.. Im not telling her this.. no ways.. shes so focused on my sisters and their problems, man I can do whatever I want, as long as I smile its all good… she doesn’t take the time to look behind the smile!
